Published:The school holidays can be hard to juggle as a parent but they can also be a great opportunity for kids to gain new experiences, build confidence, acquire skills, make friends and most importantly...have fun!
We’ve pulled together a list of holiday clubs, which regularly take place across the Isle of Wight. Places can fill fast, so get in touch promptly to reserve your place.

Bright Sparks Forest School Club
Forest school is a learning approach that is used in a natural outside environment that provides hands-on learning opportunities that enables children to develop holistically. It encourages their independence, confidence and self-esteem through open ended activities and experiences that are challenging but achievable.
Children attending the forest school will have an unforgettable experience this summer, experiencing such things as den building, fire lighting and cooking, clay and creation stations, mud kitchen and bug hunting, tool use and woodwork area and much more!
When: Running for 5 weeks of the Summer Holidays on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am-3pm

Scallywags Fun Club
Scallywags Fun Club provides holiday childcare for children aged 3 to 18 years and is located in a dedicated area of Broadlea Primary School.
At the holiday club, kids get the chance to get involved in a wide range of activities from team games, clay, face painting, table tennis, sand/water play, needlework and lots more!
1:1 support is available for children with additional needs and children are welcomed from within the Broadlea school community and further afield - you do not have to be a Broadlea pupil to access the fun!
When: Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm
Age: 3-18

Ryde School Holiday Club
Young Explorers – 5-7 years
School-based activities in arts, crafts, sport. There is an option for full days and half days. Sporting activities include football, basketball, rounders, tennis and badminton along with other indoor activities.

YMCA - Wight Day Camps
Set in a perfect location overlooking Sandown Bay, Isle of Wight Day Camps utilises the fantastic facilities at Winchester House, plus the stunning areas immediately around including the beach, local parks, and attractions. With beach school featuring heavily in the programme, we offer many opportunities to children from years R to 12 years to enjoy a range of indoor and outdoor sessions, making new friends and learning new skills along the way!

UKSA (UK Sailing Academy)
Summer camps include an action-packed programme of water-based activities. These can be booked as a fully residential experience, or as a non-residential day camp at our secure 4 acre, waterside campus in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Children are supervised at all times by our experienced and safeguard trained watersports instructor team throughout the day. Those on residential courses have access to their own dedicated kids area and evening activities programme run by our expert evening entertainments teams.

Little Rockets Holiday Club - Gymnastics and Trampoline Fundays
These fun days are suitable for beginners, people who have never done gymnastics before, or for people who have done lots of gymnastics. The day starts off with playing games to get everyone feeling comfortable and happy, then we spend time getting used to the trampolines, we warm up with music and singing and there are games to get everyone involved. Try out the Olympic size trampoline and Olympic size training beam, air barrels and air beams. There will also be a special guest, Jaydene Lee Paddock of Jaydene Lee Arts with her amazing beautiful Aerial Silks You could be swinging through the sky like you’re in the circus!
After lunch there’ll be prizes, everyone gets a certificate, sticker and sweets to go home with. These classes are all about having fun, learning the importance of movement and keeping fit and most importantly, having a laugh!
When: 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th August.

Starling Songwriters - Song Writing and Recording Workshops
At Starling Songwriters we believe that song writing and making music is one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling ways to express yourself. We offer a range of workshops and lessons in song writing, guitar and ukulele playing, music production and music performance that will have people of all ages making music in no time! No music experience required.

Jaydene Lee Arts

Come along to try a different style of dance with special guest AMY DENHAM!
Amy studied musical theatre at D&B School of Performing Arts. Amy graduated with her first job at Disneyland Paris as a parade dancer and character performer. She then went to become a dance instructor at a American summer camp. Amy has performance and choreographed shows at Blackgang Chine and Robin hill over a number of years, and she has also been involved with island amateur theatre groups, and now continues to be involved with island productions.
