The fort is now a public, recreational space with lots to explore and enjoy.  Most of the site, including the walks are buggy friendly.

  • Reptilarium
  • Cafe Verdi - serving ice creams, hot and cold food and drinks (seasonal opening)
  • BBQs - available to hire
  • Picnic area - enjoy lunch on the big grassy area
  • Seashore and woodland walks - nature trails, fossil hunting and rock-pooling
  • Toilets - baby change and disabled
  • Free parking
  • Gift shop

During your visit, you can find out more at the information centre (there's a donation box for leaflets and maps) and go up on roof and look out at the boats sailing across the Solent.
