Gurnard is located to the west of Cowes, and has excellent views out across the Solent towards Southampton.  The beach is relatively small, even at low tide and fairly pebbly.  There is a long esplanade that connects Gurnard to Cowes and this makes for a great walk, which is buggy/scooter friendly.
