Founded in 1934, the Isle of Wight Model Engineering Society brings together enthusiasts interested in building and operating working models, with a particular focus on live steam engineering, miniature railways and model boats.
Visitors are welcome to attend the society's regular Open Afternoons, where they can explore the site, meet members and enjoy free rides on the miniature railway.
Alongside the railway, visitors may also discover model boats, engineering projects and a wide range of workshop-based hobbies and crafts.

Getting There
Broadfields is located behind Northwood Cricket Club within Northwood Recreation Ground in Cowes. The access road can be found between the skate park and children's play area, with the entrance to the site situated at the rear of the public car park.
The Southern Vectis No. 1 bus service between Newport and Cowes stops close to the access road, making the site easy to reach by public transport.
A wonderful family-friendly afternoon for train lovers, budding engineers and anyone curious about the world of miniature railways.
