Parkhurst forest has a range of various walks to suit.  If you have a buggy or bike, a great option is to stay on the main track and it takes you around in a loop from the main carpark in around an hour.  If you don't have wheels then you can go off exploring amongst the muddy paths and tree routes.

It's a magical forest with various types of trees including pine and fir.
