Sandown Bay

Places to Visit

Sandown Bay provides locals with a typical seaside experience, and is well known for its long stretches of golden sands.  It's a brilliant beach for families, and being on the south east side of the island, it gets plenty of sunshine and usually has calm, shallow waters.  If beach-side activities appeal, Sandown is the place to go.  Sandham Gardens sits just across the road on the way to Yaverland, and here you can bounce on the Sky Nets, play Dino mini golf, explore the adventure playground and ride the go-karts.  You can also go to Sandown Pier for a range of activities from the amusement arcade, Magic Island play area, bowling to the fairground rides.
